Posters for the MIAT

February 19, 2018

Creating and printing posters, self-initiated or on a commission is something I enjoy making the most. So, therefore, I was quite enthusiastic when it came to collaboration with MIAT museum where 2 different posters had to be designed, typeset from wood and metal type and letterpress printed at the printing department of the museum.

In December, between Christmas and New Year I decided to take a 3-day trip to Amsterdam to visit friends who came all the way from Toronto. Upon arrival to Amsterdam Central Station, I spotted a lovely and quiet place, situated in the Amstelpassage (inside the station) - called Lil' Amsterdam.

The Museum of Printing in Yerevan

November 2, 2017

In the beginning of October, I decided to take a short break to visit my family in Armenia as well as to visit the Granshan non-latin type conference which this year took place in Yerevan. Upon arrival in sunny Armenia, I've discovered that the Printing Museum in Yerevan just got open and rushed there as soon as I could.
The museum is located in the building of the National Library of Armenia (Teryan street, 72) and the Library had already expressed the idea of establishing this museum back in 2012, when Armenia was celebrating the 500th anniversary of Armenian printing & UNESCO named Yerevan as World Book Capital. But it was finally opened for public just recently, on 25th of September 2017.

Type walk in Ghent. Before & after. Marchandises & stories.
March 28, 2026

Tucked away near Sint-Jacobsplein in Ghent once stood a place that many locals still remember with a certain nostalgia: Marchand’10. The name Marchand’10 (Marchandise) — French for “merchant” — suited the place perfectly. This was never just a shop, but a world of its own. It felt more like wandering into a densely packed cabinet of curiosities.

Type walk in Ghent. Before & after or from lace to lunch: the changing story of Kraanlei 33.
January 6, 2026

It’s been quite a while since I started my Sunday type walks. What began as a simple stroll through the city—my only free day as a self-employed graphic designer—quickly became a way to move, clear my head, and indulge my long-standing fascination with typography in all its forms. Whenever I arrive in a new city, I instinctively take a type walk; the streets are full of hidden typographic gems, waiting to be discovered.

Letterpret or Alphabet Cards
November 29, 2025

The wood-type collection at the Museum of Industry in Ghent is exceptional, and I’m lucky to work with it every day. Typesetting cards and posters, pulling prints in the museum’s workshop — even after all these years I’m still discovering new, curious, and beautifully worn pieces in the drawers.
