The work of designer and printmaker H.N.Werkman (1882-1945) is best known for his innovative printing techniques and experimental typography. Therefore seventy years after his death the city of Groningen organizes various exhibitions (10.04-01.11.2015) and presents a new publication about the artist - “Het boek H.N. Werkman. "Art During The Great War" is an exhibition in Antwerp (BE) built around six central figures, Rik Wouters, Emile Verhaeren, Cyriel Buysse, André de Ridder, Jules Schmalzigaug and Paul van Ostaijen. It explores how each was affected by the Great War.
Inspired by Paul van Ostaijen's work graphic designers Tom Hautekiet en Herman Houbrechts created a typographic poster for the exhibition and printed it at the Frans Masereel Centrum. Nice!

From February 4 until 27 May 2012 the Museum Het Valkhof will hold an exhibition of Dutch artist Ben Joosten - ‘Naar de letter – prenten in boekdruk’ (To the letter - letterpress prints).
The museum will display a selection of typographic prints as well as the documentary film ‘Naar de letter’ (To the letter) by Hanne van der Woude. I couldn't find info about of this documentary (or trailer) but found some 'making of' pictures and I'm curious about this documentary.
