Just received! Oh, so happy!
“Alphabets of Wood. Luigi Melchiori and the history of Italian wood type”, written by James Clough and Chiara Scattolin and published by Tipoteca Italiana is the first publication about the history of wood type in Italy. It is a tribute to Luigi Melchiori, a wood type manufacturer who lived between 1864 and 1946 in a small town called Crespano, at the foothills of the Alps. His archive is a part of Tipoteca Italiana collection and is available for public.
