Historische Drukkerij Turnhout
Last weekend we visited a private printing museum - Historische Drukkerij Turnhout. The collection provides visitors an insight in printing during the 19th & 20th century. During our guided tour an enthusiast volunteer demonstrated the type casting process, a few machines in action including Alauzet & Tiquet and the largest press in the collection - Marinoni Presse Universelle.

From February 4 until 27 May 2012 the Museum Het Valkhof will hold an exhibition of Dutch artist Ben Joosten - ‘Naar de letter – prenten in boekdruk’ (To the letter - letterpress prints).
The museum will display a selection of typographic prints as well as the documentary film ‘Naar de letter’ (To the letter) by Hanne van der Woude. I couldn't find info about of this documentary (or trailer) but found some 'making of' pictures and I'm curious about this documentary.
Letterproeftuin workshop
Graphic Design Festival Breda (NL) is a biannual festival taking place from 19 to 23 of September. The program of the festival is quite broad, it is a mix of exhibitions, lectures, workshops, urban interventions and parties. And if you want to get your hands dirty you can take part in a traveling letterpress workshop organized by Letterproeftuin.
