Last Saturday the annual Cultural Fair in Gent marked the start of a new cultural season. Traditionally, more than a hundred organizations were gathered on one of the main squares of Gent - Kouter to put the new cultural season in the spotlight. So did we with the MIAT museum! This year we came up with an idea of a live printing session to promote the printing department and workshops. Once again me and Marie-Alice Boshoff returned to the coffee theme and the dialect of the city Gent. 'Dat es straffe kaffee' means 'This is a true story' - an expression known to the most of people living in Belgium.
So after running a few tests we've decided to print the coffee pot at the museum, let it dry and then print the text 'live' on location. More than 150 copies were printed during the Cultural Fair and given to the public. We had a lovely time - great weather, loads of visitors and almost no posters left :) Dat es straffe kaffee ;)
Special thanks to Marie-Alice Boshoff and Laurence De Craene.
