French studio La Casse have been recently involved in many letterpress projects and experiments. A serie of typographic cards for Le Musée de l'imprimerie de Nantes (Printing Museum in Nantes) is an interesting project that caught my attention. Composed from movable type and printed on FAG at the museum these cards contain information about the museum and their activities. Good idea. Well, now I know which museum I should visit in the near future:)
Another project they did is called "Alteration". In artistic collaboration with Calepino they've produced a limited edition notebooks and boxes. It was printed using polymer cliches at the museum of Nantes as well. Each numbered box has 4 notebooks with different illustrations based on wordplay: French word 'casse' mixed with 4 different words to create a new meaning (e.g. "casse"TAGNE, "casse"QUETTE", RAS"casse", CAR"casse"). Here's a short video showing the printing process.
