When I met Claudio Madella (IT) in Amsterdam earlier this month while visiting Letterpress Amsterdam & Sander Pinkse studio's, I was glad to hear that his next stop is the MIAT museum in Gent. I thought "finally!", now I would have a chance to guide him through the collection and the printing workshop of the museum I was telling him about. It is always a pleasure to meet a fellow designer/letterpress printer.
I got a little gift from Claudio as well, a cleverly made letterpress printed book 'Say them loud?' with good words for better living. I loved it!
Claudio Madella from Novepunti collective (IT) is responsible for organizing the annual meeting of letterpress designers from Europe and Latin America - the Letterpress Workers Summit in Milan. A unique event gathering letterpress printers for a short-term artistic residence, open to the public, where people work together on a common theme, sharing their knowledge and experience.
